Meet the Innkeepers
Peter Monahan is a third-generation hotelier. His great grandfather George Mink founded the Belmar Hotel in Wildwood Crest, NJ in the 1930s. In 1995, Peter Monahan and his brothers purchased Quality Inn Larson's at General Lee's Headquarters in Gettysburg, PA. Peter was the Managing Partner and General Manager for 17 years at the historic Quality Inn. During that time, the Quality Inn at General Lee's Headquarters was transformed into an award-winning Choice Hotel International property.
In 2012, Peter sold his interest in the Quality Inn property. He then purchased the Meade School property with his wife Elizabeth, who serves as Chief of Staff to the President of Mount St. Mary’s University. Together they transformed The Meade School building into charming, award-winning luxury boutique hotel at Federal Pointe Inn.
